Members of the Lawrence Park Community Church Adult Choir love to sing and are committed to presenting a high quality of choral music. The Choir is made up of volunteer singers and professional singers who also act as section leaders within the Choir. The Choir’s presence and contribution is an integral part of worship and promotes understanding of God's Word and expresses the Gospel in the great anthems, responses and hymns of the church. The Choir has an extensive and varied repertoire of compositions from all periods of the past and present that help to enrich worship.
The Choir sings at worship services from September to June and participates in special services during the Christmas and Lent / Easter seasons. Community involvement includes annual carol singing at Sunnybrook Hospital. For many years, the Choir and Soloists have presented a choral concert as part of the Fridays @ 8 Concert series.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. prior to the worship service. Seasonal commitments to the group are an option. In addition to music-making, the Choir enjoys social activities throughout the year. New members are enthusiastically welcomed!
