This week's Justice Matters features two very different stories about social justice. One features a report from Luis Mata, who works to prevent human trafficking among migrant workers in Ontario. He gives a blow by blow account of how Mexican migrant workers near Sarnia were exposed to, and caught covid-19 on a farm. It is a rare glimpse into the little known world of migrant farm labourers who pick our fruit and vegetables. The episode starts with Brittany Hudson, a Black theological student at U of T. She gives her perspective on what it was like being Black and growing up with the police. Her experience is very different from what most white children experience, and helps to explain the call to defund the police.
