In the news, police are often blamed for the death of homeless people who suffer from mental health and addiction problems. Mental health nurse Anisa Carrascal explains in this video that the police are not the only problem. She uses a case study of a homeless man suffering from schizophrenia to show the challenges the mentally ill face in Ontario. Ms. Carrascal works for the Canadian Mental Health Association in Toronto, Canada.
