On Friday, May 10, at 7:30 PM, the Lawrence Park Community Church Choir will host a special evening in honor of Mark Toews. This introduction will set the stage for an exploration of Mark's impact on music. Mark Sirett will then share a few words about "For the Music of Creation," setting the mood for the performance to follow.

The musical selections for the evening cover a diverse range of compositions, from Mark Sirett's own "For the Music of Creation" to Bob Chilcott's pieces "If You Love Me" and "Awake as in the Skies Above." Various talented musicians will grace the event, including Robert DeVito on the trumpet for "Christ is Made the Sure Foundation," and Peter Rapson showcasing his prowess on the cello for multiple pieces. The evening will also feature the soulful sounds of the Lawrence Park Choir Soloists, the melodies of Chris Dawes on the organ, and the rhythmic beats of Kenny Kirkwood on percussion. The concert is expected to run for approximately 60 minutes, ending with the uplifting "Freedom Trilogy" by Paul Halley.

In addition to the music, the event also encourages interaction and sharing. Several musicians, including Peter Rapson, Taya Rosenberg, Kenny Kirkwood, Eleanor Daley, Mark Sirett, and Robert DeVito, will be invited to share brief verbal comments. Daniel promises a scripted and succinct introduction, while other speakers, such as Kim/Margo and Eric B, may offer their perspectives. A Celebration of Mark reception will follow the concert in the Gathering Hall, providing an opportunity for attendees to reflect on the evening and share their experiences.
