Religion and politics are, and have been for centuries, inseparably bound. "The world is full of governments willing to influence religious grievances to score political advantage" Rev. Suk reminds us in this sermon.
And so, given this reality, wouldn't the wisest course of action be to choose to take our faith driven values to bear in a positive way on our individual political involvements? Surely that is a truer, more productive use of our energies.
