In the Book of Esther, God doesn't appear, nor is even mentioned. Rev. Suk, using the story of Esther, suggests in this sermon that perhaps God's 'disappearance' is actually a divine strategy for making humans self-reliant, choosing, on our own, to do what God dreamed - to walk humbly with each other.
