In this sermon, Rev. Suk tells the story of the woman who suffered from menorrhagia, an illness marked by the inability to stop bleeding, and the manner in which she was shunned as unclean and a lesser human. This relates to the ages old issue of gender inequity. How? Long held beliefs that women were lesser humans was a human habit and not one that can truly be a part of Christian faithfulness today.
If we're following with Jesus' heart, we are making sure that all people we encounter depart happy and blessed.
