"Love Boxed In"

Rev. Brigid Maya's sermon this morning called "Love Boxed In"  focused on the passage from 1 John 4:7-21, which is a profound discourse on the nature of love as defined by the Christian faith. Love, as an essential attribute of God, and is not meant to be confined within the narrow limits of our understanding or preferences. The sermon emphasizes the concept of agape love—unconditional, sacrificial love that is not restrained by our biases or circumstances. It encourages us to let go of our attempts to control or limit who deserves love and how it should be expressed, inviting us to experience and share love in its most divine, unbounded form.  The challenge to the congregation is to love not just in words or speech but in actions and truth, thus reflecting the perfect love of God that drives out fear and encompasses every aspect of our lives.
