Music for Advent & Christmas Choruses and arias from Handel’s “Messiah” will be featured this Advent & Christmas season with “And the Glory of the Lord”, “For unto Us a Child Is Born” and “For, Behold, Darkness Shall Cover the Earth & “The People that Walked in Darkness” sung by Paul Winkelmans and “O Thou that Tellest Good Tidings to Zion” sung by Michèle Bogdanowicz. The Christmas Pageant “The Birth of the Christ Child” written by DeeAnn Sagar will take place on December 10 and will include many familiar carols sung by the children of the Sunday School, the choir and congregation. Kenny Kikrwood with his array of instruments will add to the festivities. Music for Handbells will peal forth on Wednesday, December 13 at the 11:00 am Advent Communion Service & Lunch. At the Lessons and Carols Service on December 17 the choir will present a variety of carol arrangements and the congregation will enjoy singing favourite Advent and Christmas hymns. Our Youth Singers will take part as well as trumpeter, Robert Divito. As is tradition “O Holy Night” will be sung at the Candlelight Communion Service on Christmas Eve – this year as a duet with tenor, Hubert Razack and soprano, Kimberley Briggs.
