Week after week it creeps,
Spreading like ink drops
On paper, each zoom call
Revealing more grey.
On the Lakeshore roadside
Yellow conquers green.
Dandelions’ prize:
A platoon of gray heads.
On a bridge, a man launches
Huge bubbles over the trail.
They drift, clear, but in the
Light, glimpses of rainbows.
Under a yellow sheet
A Black body lies still
Nearby, people dressed in blue.
Pushed or jumped, still unclear.
Colours seem more vibrant now
Artifice in lockdown, too.
This is our chance to come clean
Before we give in and dye again.
