Camp Scugog has offered incredible programming to children, youth and mothers affected by poverty since 1931. In fact, they are one of the oldest camps in Canada!
At Scugog, each camper is cared for as an individual. Camp should provide a safe environment where meaningful relationships are formed and fun and adventure are encouraged. Campers develop new friendships and are given the opportunity to try many new activities where they learn to appreciate nature and are challenged to be the best version of themselves.
The Mothers and Children program provides the opportunity for struggling mothers with children aged 0-16 to form stronger bonds with their kids, and empower themselves to be better for themselves, and their families.
Lawrence Park Community Church raises thousands of dollars each year to help send more kids to camp. We also plan one day in the spring to send a group of volunteers to help clean, do repairs, and get the camp ready for summer visitors. Our work is greatly appreciated by the staff and campers every year, and we look forward to hearing their amazing stories of fun and success!
If you would like to participate in our Spring clean up at the end of May please contact the church office. We have multiple events that help raise funds for Camp Scugog including the Lawrence Park Art Show, and our second collection program. Please check with the office for the best way to donate funds to Camp Scugog.
